Shirt progress: shoulder seams and collar
Moving forward with a shirt project based on a pre-industrial style. Fabric is the plain Ditte from Ikea. Although Michaels has tried to move into the space left by Jo Ann Fabrics the results have been disappointing.
I use the machine for straight seams and hand stitching for finishing. The machine usually disappoints me when it comes to techniques like felling and stitch in the ditch — it's a skill issue. Felling is a comfortable chill-out activity while watching TV.
