Photos from Southern Fried Queer Pride Art Market, 27 June 2026
The Southern Fried Queer Pride Art Market was the second event I've been able to get to after landing here in Atlanta. It had a very nice vibe compared to the massive October festival in Piedmont Park. Fewer corporations, more makers. Nothing wrong with the big events — that's how I found my doctor — but I like a chance to talk to the artists.
Just a few pics, not a photo essay.

It was the first time I'd been able to spend time at Little Five Points. The first time was a bit of a bust, but this time around got to see some of the more lived-in parts.

A nice collection of artists, organizations, publishers, and bookstores. A lot of upcycled fashion, some good ceramics, and a fair bit of printmaking.

Taking a break we remembered a truth: the cowboy cookie is better than the tollhouse.
